Bangkok has a trend of modern, state of the art hostels that are actually more like semi luxury hotels than what one would normally think of as a hostel. Catering specifically to flashpackers, families and vacationers, Saphaipae claims to be Bangkok’s biggest hostel.
When I was at Saphaipae, I was truly impressed. After wandering around Bangkok all day it’s nice to come back to a really clean place, where everything functions and the air condition blows fresh cool air. The downstairs communal area and outdoor patio are both fantastic places to hang out with other travelers. You can also choose to grab a bite to eat at the restaurant or chill out on a giant bean bag and watch a movie.
Dorm beds go for 300 - 400 THB per night and twin and double rooms are in the range of 1000 - 1300 THB per night. I think the beds at Saphaipae are some of the most comfortable cushy beds I’ve ever felt!
