We stayed here for 3 nights. The area is great. The guys behind Bubbles do a magnificent job in keeping the turtle population protected. They even have voluntary guards safeguarding the place at night so locals cannot poach the eggs.
We had a great time. However, food was quite basic (but this might have improved over time as they had only recently opened to public when we stayed there). The bungalows were basic but fine. They operate a nice dive school. You can also do some great snorkeling in their house reef....we saw many types of fish and other species that you would normally only see during a dive..
Bubbles Dive Resort is located at Perhentian Besar Island and at one of the most secluded areas, making this the perfect getaway for those who seek privacy. There are no other resorts nearby and you have the luxury of your own private beach which spans for over 400 meters long.
The beauty about Bubbles Dive Resort is that they cater to families and children including those with infants and brand themselves as an Eco Friendly Resort. I have personally stayed here twice in 2012 and found that on both stays, there must have been at least six families with kids. The resort also has a dive center, main restaurant and a turtle conservation. WiFi is available for those who need to be constantly online.
Diving with Bubbles is also hassle free as the dive center is fully equipped. Even children as young as 8 years old can participate in a 'Bubble Maker' course as they cater for young divers too. Multiple dive courses are available as you can inquire with the resort.
Overall, Bubbles Dive Resort offers packages with and without diving and prices are between US$50 to $70 per night with full board meals.
